House overrides governor’s veto of Legislature’s operations budget, parking provision for lawmakers
Read Article (Developing: Will be update after Senate vote) The Kansas House on Friday voted to override the governor's decision to defund the Legislature in response to lawmakers not giving a “meaningful” pay raise to state employees. The House also overrode the governor's veto of language authorizing any state employee or legislator to park in any state facility from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. so long as the lot is not secured by a gate or arm.
